Sacrament of Confirmation

Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation, whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace."
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285

Youth candidates for this sacrament are those already baptized, received First Communion and who have received formation through the Confirmation program or in the parish school. The formation program includes two years of study, including parent education, and a retreat. We celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with the Bishop once a year.

Adult candidates for this sacrament are those already baptized and who have received First Communion. Instructions are offered once a year. If the person has not received First Communion, we utilize the Adult Catechumenate (RCIA). Contact Nathan Webb for more information about RCIA.
