Christ the King Cathedral Youth Ministry
Here at Christ the King, we are Christ-Centered and teen-centered. We understand that our teens are growing up in a world that is far different from the years that came before them and we are hoping to help provide them a church home that allows them to feel welcomed, ask the tough questions, and live out their faith. A safe environment where we have teens come out from behind the desk to learn and explore their faith in a small group environment.
Junior High Youth Ministry
Our middle school youth ministry serves sixth grade to express how our God wants to build a relationship with you using Sunday Scripture. A foundation to start preparing teens for their faith journey that lies ahead by asking the teen to say "Yes!" to God's call just like the Saints.
Come, Holy Spirit Come! Confirmation is a fabulous time where the teens come together in small group environment and take learning about the Spirit to another level. The invitation to become who you are through the Spirit, invites each teen to dig deeper into who God is and who he is calling them to be and how the Spirit aids them in this process.
Confirmation is a two year commitment to the Spirit. It begins with year one confirmation, in the seventh grade. This journey dives deeper in the second year of confirmation, in the eighth grade.
High school youth ministry
Our high school youth ministry serves 9th through 12th grade. A place you can come and be yourself and learn to be who God created you to be through Sunday Scripture. High School Youth is all about coming and deepening your relationship with God the Father, following the examples of Christ the Son, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
CIA is taking your Catholic faith and going into action with it. CIA is a high school group of Confirmed individuals who serve Christ the King Cathedral and the Lubbock community. We are called to spread the Gospel to the four corners of the earth. We learn to spread the good news in our homes, schools and community by continuing our learning of our faith whether that be through a debate over Church teachings or a bible and book study, growing our bonds as a team by having fun game nights and giving back to our church and home communities through retreats and community service. We are Confirmed in Action and we strive to stay in action in all we say and do.
